Transportation Association of Greenwich

Serving Seniors and Disabled Residents of Greenwich

TAG started over 30 years ago by a man who had a vision for the disabled and seniors of Greenwich. That man was Ruppert Vernon and he started TAG with his first executive director, Pam Schaffner. Together they formed Transportation Association of Greenwich, whose primary goal was to offer a specialized service with professional drivers who have a CDL license.

In the early days of TAG there was one staff person and 2 drivers and it serviced ARC (now Abilis), Greenwich Adult Daycare (now River House), plus many individuals within the community. Today, TAG have 3 staff members and 9 drivers. TAG continues to serve Greenwich and the surrounding areas with competent and respectful drivers whose first priority is our clients.
